Divemaster InternshipDivemaster is the first professional level diving certification. Becoming a Divemaster is both extremely challenging and extremely rewarding. It takes commitment, time and hard work. It is not simply another certification. It is a new way of diving, a new way of thinking, and a very intensive program.
The true essence of being a Divemaster is the love of helping others. Divemaster candidates have to meet the following prerequisites:
- Be certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver
- Be certified as a Rescue Diver
- Have a minimum of 20 dives to start the course, and a minimum of 60 dives to finish
- Be at least 18 years old at the start of your training
- Be certified in Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary care with the last 24 months
- Be medically fit for diving
The Divemaster course is recommended for two (2) semester credit hours by the American Council on Education (ACE), the body that accredits most US colleges and universities.
This program requires a lot of work, but it is a lot of fun too. The length of this internship is longer than just one of our 10 day programs, but really depends on your prerequisites, especially your dive count. Contact us to find out more!
